A story about our very own Slim Warrior made it to Reuters News. That's the RL Reuters! Personally, I read the SL Reuters and reporter Eric is great. However, I think most of the rest of the world, some-100s-a-millions-a-people read the RL Reuters news. WAY TO GO SLIMMMMIE!!!

PARIS (Reuters) - Leo Wolff, a woman who joined the online world of Second Life in 2005, bought a small plot of virtual land with eight other musicians and opened the "Virtual Garage" to showcase and perform their music.

Her online character, or avatar, Slim Warrior was the first British musician to perform in the popular virtual world with its own currency and a growing economy. She was also the first to duet online with another artist based as far away as Texas.

Postponed (again?) - Max Marina Boat Show @ The Yacht Club - 4pm

SL has been majorly crappy. On top of that generally USA ISPs aren't doing too well this past week. Some events have been postponed, while others I couldn't get to.

I heard word the Max Marina Yacht Club event went onward on April 12th, with a DJ <-- I'll replace this with the DJs name as soon as I know). I will update here when I speak with Max. We may have a 'part deux'

Ok.... so I'm not leaving SL. I have absolutely no reason to..... so, April Fools....

.. but what I don't get, is why do I need to say "haha April fools" .... why can't I just ride this one out through the summer?

Doubledown Quits Performing in Second Life!!!!!

Due to nasty immature abusive behavior from a group within Second Life, I, Doubledown Tandino will no longer be performing in Second Life. This group has destroyed what I have worked for in one swoop exploiting a SL exploit... I don't even feel like talking about it.... I am so disgusted right now, I will never perform in SL again, I may only enter once more to say my farewells....

New Broadcasting & Recording Tool (Thanks Komuso!)

Komuso Tokugawa of sonicviz.com found a cool new broadcasting program, which is also great for recording shows.

Komuso: "I’ve been testing a very cool little xplatform open source streaming application.
A small learning curve, and then you can finally dump SAM, Simplecast, and that clunky winamp/shoutcast dsp plugin. Version 1.8 just released with updates to the recording function. Does both shoutcast and icecast, and records your stream at different [ie: higher] bitrate than the outgoing stream - perfect for live recordings."
