We are glad to announce the 1st Avatar Art Contest! All virtual worlds members are invited to take part in the Avatar Art Contest and submit their photos! You can submit your entries from 23rd of October until 3rd of December. The winners will be announced here and on the Koinup Blog. Here are the latest entries.
Rules and Guidelines
The contest is about making your Avatar looks like a painting
You can turn your avatar itself in a piece of art, by creating an artistic "shape" (e.g. making a cubistic/Picasso or abstract avatar) or you can take a photo of the avi and make it looks like a painting (using filters, postprocessing and turn it into a painting)
In order to take part in this contest, you must have an account on Koinup. Registration is free and takes only a few seconds.
All the submissions in the contest must be tagged with this tag: avatarartcontest (copy this tag and paste it in your entries)
Submissions can't be photos already hosted on Koinup. So please, publish new works.
You can submit your entries in one of the following categories: realistic-pop art, surrealistic-not possible in real life and post-modern/traditional and kitsch!

Explicit contents are not allowed. Don't upload porn images or explicity nudity.
Photos have to remain on Koinup after the end of the contest. Obviously you are free to share them also on other websites!
Entering the contest implies the acceptance of these rules.
Winners, Jury and Prizes
Judges will select 6 winners (2 for each categories). The announcement will take place on 14th of December. The panel of judges is made up by Hamlet Au, journalist and lead of the New World Notes. Mario Gerosa, chief editor of AD architectural digest and curator of Virtual Renaissance Exhibition. Bettina Tizzy, blogger and fonder of the NPIRL group and movement. Each judges will pick two winners for its own category: Bettina Tizzy: surrealistic-not possible in real life Mario Gerosa: post-modern/traditional and kitsch Hamlet Au: realistic-pop art Winners will be published on journals, blogs and magazine of the judges. The winners will be showcased at Museo del Metaverso, an italian artistic organization powered by the Uqbar.mediaartculture. They will also have the chance to make an exhibition in the Avatar Art Koinup museum, the first Avatar museum based in IMVU, powered by Koinup. More details coming soon!
